My Plucky Fluff

I am loving the pluckyfluff.com book. Here's my latest creation based on her techniques. Merino handpainted by my friend Hillary of dashingdachs.com It has beehives, dreadlocks & beads, plus it's super soft. I love it. Even had the two chicas rubbing the skein against their faces. It's 3oz dead on.
it's all my bobbin will hold. I probably have 1-1.5 oz single on another bobbin.

I've been busy knitting it into an "art scarf" for the past couple of days as the kids will allow. I had about 1/2 a bobbin of leftover singles that I wound into a center pull ball and plied into a very heavy worsted or a lightweight bulky yarn. Double the thickness of the yarn in the pictures. I didn't do anything facy with it - just plied it so that the scarf will have some anchors. Knitting the thicker stuff into both ends and the middle of the scarf. That should give it some stability as the scarf itself is very open and cobwebby. It's knit on size 10 and 15 needles.

Yep, I'm finally posting!

I've been busy though. Dyeing & handspinning.

Check out what I've been up to. Lots and lots and lots of dyeing and colorway creation.

This is River Fall. One of my favorite colorways. The picture doesn't do it justice. I made a One Skein Wonder from this skein. I'll have to take pics and post too. Painted on Peace Fleece.(www.peacefleece.com)

Pretty in Pink. A gradient dye in bright pink for my friend Tif.

This is 3/4 of a pound of Fairy Lights. It's been selling like wildfire. Over 4 pounds in the past three weeks. Small potatoes if you're a full time or commercial dyer, but for me it's a lot of a single colorway. Very pretty for babies. Pale shades that aren't boring.

This is Gnomes in the Forest. Currently up for sale at KnittedsandFitteds.com. If it doesn't sell soon, I'm going to ebay it, fairly cheaply. 2 skeins of Peace Fleece and one merino Licorice Twist from Henry's Attic. Very yummy.
